Mine Victims in Cambodia

Each month are between 160 and 200 amputations due to landmine injuries. 1 in 236 Cambodians is disabled, making Cambodia to the most disabled country on earth. There is an estimated minimum of 4. Mio. uncleard and unfound Landmines. Landmines are laid since more then three decades, from the Khmer Rouge, the Heng Samrin and Hun Sen regimes, the Vietnamese, the KPNLF and the Sihanoukists. Now after the war, even some farmers use landmines to protect there homes. And accidents happens fast. Some of the Mineclearer say mineclearing will go on the next 30 years and some say there is no way to find all and there is no possibility to finish this job…
